The new module, complemented by an enhanced Management and Administration console, strengthens COCKPIT® feature-set and can also be used to enhance printing performance of any other SBC system
Tel Aviv, Israel, June 2009 -- Jetro Platforms, a leading vendor of server-based application delivery and virtualization software solutions today introduced its new and advanced Printing module. Complete with a feature-rich Management & Administration console, Jetro’s new Printing solution supports high performance Universal Printing as well as Native Printing. The solution can be used to boost the performance of already installed COCKPIT clients, or as a third party solution enhancing the performance of other SBC systems.

Advanced Universal Printing
Jetro’s Universal Printing employs new methods and protocols for synchronizing between properties of physical and virtual printers, thus achieving maximal printing fidelity. The module features enhanced support for varying standard and non-standard properties including page sizes, resolutions, margins, and more.
Multiple raw formats, including Postscript, PCL5, PCL6, and EMF are enabled, as well as a choice of raw or PDF transport, including Signed PDF documents.
Additional features include:
- pre- and post- processing manipulation
- server-side physical tray selection
- Local Print Dialog option
- Control over printer properties at print-job level
New Native Printing
The new Native Printing solution from Jetro uses RDP driver mapping for COCKPIT based printing. This enables it to map each printer to its native driver, the universal driver, both, or none. Support for direct printing to network printers reduces printing latency and bandwidth consumption. In addition, the solution supports specialized non-standard printers such as label printers, barcode printers and more.
Comprehensive Management & Administration
An advanced Administration console based on an MMC-Style full client complements Jetro’s Printing Module. Using a highly granular rule-based automatic dynamic configuration, the console also employs SQL-based audit trail and logging facility for enterprise-grade BI and analytics. The Administration tool can be fully integrated with the management of both COCKPIT and COCKPIT2i solutions fro Jetro, while also supporting “COCKPIT-less” MS Terminal Services environments.
“As part of our continuing efforts to providing more value to our growing customer base, we are happy to introduce the most advanced Printing solution on the market,” said Giora Shaked, CEO of Jetro Platforms. “Existing COCKPIT clients can benefit from additional features and functionality. Non-COCKPIT users will now have an option to enjoy higher quality Printing services with better cost-performance by integrating the new module into their network.”
